A flight diary app for every flight you take

A boarding pass in a drawer remembers the route. It doesn't remember the seat you picked, the aircraft you got or why you were flying that day. A flight diary keeps those details with the flight they belong to.

Waymarka is a flight log and travel pin map that works as a flight diary app: every flight gets its own entry with the facts of the trip and your own notes, and every entry adds a route to your world map. It runs in your browser on any phone or computer. It's a diary of flights you've taken, not a live tracker: it doesn't track flights and doesn't send alerts.

What goes into each entry

Only the date and the two airports are needed. Everything else is optional, and you can come back and fill it in later with Edit:

  • The flight: flight number, airline, departure and arrival times.
  • The airports: departure and arrival terminals and gates.
  • The aircraft: type and registration, for the avgeek in you.
  • Your place on board: seat and cabin (Economy, Premium Economy, Business or First).
  • Notes: free text for whatever you want to remember about the trip.

The distance and an estimated flight time are worked out from the two airports, so there's nothing to look up.

Every flight gets its own page

Open any flight to see its route on a map and a simple depart, in air and arrive timeline with your terminal, gate and seat. Below that are the key facts at a glance: distance, duration, cabin, aircraft, registration, domestic or international, and where the entry came from (added manually, scanned or imported). Your notes sit underneath. It reads like a diary page, not a row in a spreadsheet.

Read back through your flying

The Timeline tab lists your past flights newest first, grouped by month, so scrolling back is like turning the pages of your diary. The Statistics tab next to it adds up the airlines, aircraft types, routes and airports you've flown. Every flight is also drawn on your map of every flight you've taken.

Fill in the back pages

Most people start with a few years of flights to catch up on. There are a few ways to do it:

  • Type it in: the date and airports, then as much detail as you like.
  • Scan a boarding pass: point your camera at the barcode and the details fill in. Barcode scans are included on every plan.
  • AI reading (Pro): upload a photo or PDF of a boarding pass and AI reads it.
  • Import a file: a Flighty export, a myFlightradar24 export (your notes, seat, registration and aircraft type come across), or any spreadsheet saved as CSV, with optional columns for seat, cabin, booking reference and notes.

Imported flights are shown as a list for you to check before anything is saved.

Your diary stays yours

You can export all your flights as CSV at any time from Settings → Data and privacy, on any plan. Want a look first? The demo is the real app filled with sample data, no sign-up needed. Waymarka works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Chromebook, Windows and Mac. For a broader overview, see the flight log app guide.
